Excavation Banksman

 

Our Excavation Banksman training is an intensive one day training session covering the dangers and techniques to be employed when working in or near excavations. The course has been designed to be highly interactive with theory and practical assessment sessions enabling a thorough knowledge / understanding of carrying out excavation activities and the associated hazards.

Aims of the training
The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and understanding to demonstrate safe techniques when carrying excavation work utilising excavators, including:

  • Identifying the risks involved in excavation work.
  • Identifying different types of ground structure and ground movement.
  • Identifying safe methods of excavator control.

Who should attend?
Operatives who are directly involved with carrying out excavation work or those who require an appreciation of the dangers and techniques employed whilst working in excavations.

We recommend that candidates have previously attended our HS(G) 47 training package prior to attending.
